BACK TO HOME Beginner Guitar Course - Syllabus Course Overview: This course is designed for individuals who are new to playing the guitar. By the end of this course, students will understand basic music theory, be comfortable with basic chords and strumming patterns, and will be able to play simple songs. Course Duration: 12 weeks (2 lessons per week) Introduction to Guitar and Basic Chords Lesson 1: Getting to Know Your Guitar Parts of the guitar: body, neck, headstock, strings, fretboard How to properly hold the guitar (sitting and standing) Tuning your guitar using a tuner Basic introduction to left and right hand techniques Left-hand positioning on the fretboard Right-hand strumming technique Lesson 2: Open Chords Introduction to basic open chords: E minor (Em) C major (C) G major (G) D major (D) Practicing ...
